Hi NZXT, just thought I might try my luck here seeing as your active on the forums (which is a great thing by the way)

I'm looking to purchase some of the rubber grommets for the cable holes that you guys use on the motherboard trays of your higher price range chassis. I've looked online but your website says that parts ordering is not available at them moment.

I can contact the sales department but didn't want to waste their time if there is another method of contacting somebody that may be able to help me out.

If you could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Tommo,

Sorry for the late reply, it's been a hectic week! Unfortunately our store only ships within the United States. As for grommets, your best bet is to find a mod-shop within the UK that sells PC-specific grommets. I'm not familiar with all of the mod shops across the pond, but I imagine someone has them.

Whit size are the cable holes (diameter) Tommo?

I use cable grommets in my job and all you need to know is the size, you could probably get them at an electrical wholesaler or somewhere that does components like Maplin

Thanks for the reply NZXT, no problem, had a bugger of a week myself :) I shall start searching somewhere else.

SD - I'm making my own motherboard tray for my record player project, and want to feed 24 pins power cables and sata leads through the motherboard tray for some sort of cable management until I can afford a decent modular PSU.
I asked on NZXT as they are active on the forums and my mate has a case of theirs and the grommets are of good quality, so I thought I would try my luck.
Because of the size and shape of the cables, the circular grommets that most electrical stores sell won't be up to par, I've not had a great deal of luck sourcing rectangular ones in the UK.

I'll just recommend a decent case with grommets on the next build I do for somebody and steal from their motherboard tray ;)

Edit, just found a UK retailer that sources something that will work, Google obviously works better at midnight

lol Google is so your friend, always :)

Something like grommet strip can be bent round tight corners and comes on a roll we use it to line large slots in metal trunking.

Get your record player thread pics updated Tommo and don't spare the resolution :)

Your local electrical wholesaler probably sells in larger amounts than you want to buy but ebay sells by the meter. Pay attention to the thickness of metal..... it comes in different sizes

    grommet strip | eBay

I have not tried with this but in the same way you can dye tubing using Rit dyes it may be possible with grommet strip too if that is the sort of thing that you like to do.

Your nickname should have been a bit of a giveaway SparkyDave but I never made the connection. I feel I am too old for installation work now so I moved over to maintenance...less money but local and suits me just fine :)

I've managed to source some from another manufacturer, not quite the same as the cutout design on the NZXT grommets which are better, but these will do the job. New motherboard tray for the custom case is on the go again after the weekend :)

Thanks for the help and direction guys
