Alright, this may be a tough one, but do you have a favorite GPU?
Mine would be either the Voodoo 2 or the HD4850. I'll explain a bit more on the case of the 4850. I bought this card as soon as it came out, in June 2008 and it really made a world of difference on my PC back then. I could finally play Crysis and Assassin's Creed with most details cranked up, not to mention future releases.

I had bought a Core2Duo 6550 earlier that year, a massive upgrade from my Northwood 2.8, but I had stupidly paired it with a 7800GTX 256, a card that was already 3 years old and unimpressive (don't forget, times were different back then). The 4850 lasted me all the way to Summer 2012 and is still getting used today on my bro's PC. It died on my at one point last year, but I resurrected it by baking it.

    -Can it run Crysis?
    -YES IT CAN :D.

I guess I'm not too sentimental, my favorite GPU is pretty much always the newest one I buy :) Currently my MSI Twin Frozr 7950, although I will have to say it was great bang for buck at the time...I bought it for about 179 right before the mining boom.

Always been a fan of AMD cards, the price per performance ratio is usually better then Nvidia's..... my favourite would have to be my current card which is the Powercolor R9 270x PCS+

My favorite graphics card would be the XFX GTS 250 core edition, simply because it was my first gpu.

Probably a voodoo 3, as that's what I got started on. Definitely had no idea what any of the specs meant for PC hardware at that point- could only go with whatever they claimed on box/print ads.

I would say 750ti because it is cheap ,with very low power consumption and great for the buck performance.

I would have to turn back the clock a bit and say, the 8800 GTX or the 280 GTX.

I still use the 28-GTX to this day, I'll be upgrading soon though. Most likely will be the 970 GTX.
