I need some ideas for a website design...

    So i have to make till 1st of December.I need to make an website about my country's national day(it's for a school contest),and i need ideas because i don't have any.Usually i have plenty of ideas but now nothing even an template to start with would be helpful and i could make something interesting out of it.Oh yheah i can't use javascript i don't know about flash images...So please guys if you have any ideas for it please help me.

    Ok lets start off with the basics here, what DO you know about web design and creation? What software if any do you have to help built sites? Ie Dreamweaver

    Well i did websites before i know about webdesign and creation i use photoshop,ilustrator... i just need the design stuff i don't have any ideeas about it, the rest programming html,css etc is no problem.It's about the visuals that i don't know what to do about them.

    Ah ok so you're basically after idea of site design and layout. Well you could either search for site templates and work from that or browse some common web sites to get a general picture of common trends.

    Many sites these days use some form of CSS, eTeknix does. Tables and modular design are more common than a few years ago.

    I hear Wordpress is a good stepping stone to start from, its the overall thing you need, and you just get a theme for it or design your own?

    I think you are new in the website designing so i will suggest you to start from the templates. There are thousand of website templates available on the Google, you may chose one of these according to your requirement and start to do changes in it.
