    Here be a quick question

When installing led fans if you want them quiet then sometimes you will limit the fan speed, which in turn lower,s the brightness of the led,s,so what are the best led fans out there in your opinion that have the leds on a different loop to the fan itself.

I remember BitFenix had some LED fans with separate LED control, maybe other brands started doing them, too.

Why don't you buy bigger LED fans? Those are quieter from the start...

Sorta have the same problem as you, I got the Aerocool DS Fans and when i set them to a low setting they starting flashing (And flashing LED's are not good).

Think it would be ok if i just cut the LED's out of them?

Sure, just make sure the wiring is safe and wont be shorting on anything. From the LEDs that is.

Can you not run a separate feed from the LED? Shouldn't be too hard to mock up.

The Enermax Vegas fans do have cool lighting. I can't see any issue with removing the LED's though, just put a little cap or electrical tape on the cut-off.

Ive got 3 Silverstone fans in my pc (2 red in front/1 white in the back-top) they are set up for speed control by the motherboard. Honestly, they are good even at the low speed (900 something rpm) and quiet. I can easily see them in the day

LED fans dont really do the best for lighting, Seperate LED strips could be an option too. If you do want to make the LED in the fans seperate by cutting them out, remember to put a resistor in with the LEDs or you will damage them.

I have had same problem with cheaper fans but the fans in my PC now which have a fan controller are soo much better, you can turn fan speed up or down and it doesnt affect lighting or can turn lighting off or on by shorting a pin on some of them. I forget the brand but can take a look if you like

I have a I5 2500k not overclocked and evga 560 with 8G of ram running with 4 120 fans, should i get more or would water cooling be a good idea. I do have a dust issue and have to blow it out once a month minimum.

    Looking forward to it.
Im surprised there has not been more excitement about them, being one of the more viable places to have rgb lighting, instead of all the guff around at the moment.
