    Hey dudes (and dudetes ;))

I have just recieved my case which will be the basis for my Upload/Download/Media Player/Server! It is the CiT MTX002B Black Mini ITX case (with 300w PSU). I know some of you hate CiT but the build quality is actually very good! I have uploaded some pics of the case and they are here:

I will upload the rest of the system tomorrow when it arrives :) If anyone was wondering, I bought a component bundle from PC world (cheap) and should be able to playback 1080p/720p .mkv files :p ASUS '/ INTEL Mini ITX PC Bundle: AT4NM10-I Motherboard, 120GB 2.5" SATA Hard Drive, 2GB DDR2 Memory, Slimline DVD-RW Drive at cheap prices | PC World

Cheers! What do you think of the components? Especially the CPU? I ask because I haven't seen a lot of people with the atom I got and I don't know if it will be able to play blu-rays :)

Dunno anything about the CPU because I never had the chance to experience/use Intel Atoms, but if that Atom is comparable or even greater than the AM3 Sempron's performance, then I think it'll do a great job playing HD contents.

Same as Leo, will be interesting to follow :) (although don't ask me much questions as I probably won't be able to answer technical stuff :))

I would have if I had about 3 times the original budget... This rig cost less than £100. A llano rig would have set me back about £360 for a decent one.

Got some pics now :) If anyone knows where I can get a TFX PSU that is silent, I am all ears :p I have found a Be Quiet one which I am currently looking at because I had a Be Quiet PSU before and they are nice and reliable :)

The PSU that came with this case by default is loud and is the loudest this in the case. It also makes the side of the case warm to touch :O

Going to add another 2GB DDR2 when I have the money and the will :p

I also modded the top panel to allow for a 120mm fan to intake cool air and dump it on the heatsink. The CPU, according to Coretemp, is sitting at a comfortable 11°c which is below ambient ;)

I will probably add a fan controller when I have the money just to make the fan above the heatsink silent. It is audible at the moment at full speed but it should quieten it down :)

Looks real good, even though it can't play 720p/1080p it doesn't seem as bad as I though.

Looks like a nice little cheap machine.

I'm not surprised its unable to handle HD playback though, its an older single core Atom and my netbook with a similar atom could not handle even 720p...

The bundle does seem very good value though, certainly a lot of PC bits for little cash.
