Simple question, what is everyone's favourite F2P games, or which ones look the best, are you looking forward to and so on, I'm tempted to dig into a few, but there are bloody loads to choose from.

I'm open minded mate, looking for a broad selection, never hurts to try a game that is free.

Currently playing APB and Microsoft Flight, both rather good so far :)

Angry birds is brilliant, although I haven't played it in about 6 months, can't wait for the space version later this month though.

Forgot all about TF2, will put it on the rota, basically going to try 2 new f2p games a week, lots out there, so many to try, no cash required lol, take a break from retail games and see what F2P has to offer, some belters coming out later this year too, mech warrior and that other Russian sounding mech game look bad ass.

I know a lot of people have a lot of hate towards perfect world entertainment but this game has taken me a little bit by surprise

    http://blacklight.perfectworld.com/

Others I would definitely say TF2.

I know not of the hate for perfect world entertainment, but feel free to enlighten me :)

Feeling a lot of love for TF2 here :) can't wait to get started on it, APB Reloaded is really growing on me, felt a little dull at first but now that I've ranked up a bit, got bigger missions and filled a custom playlist of death metal the games coming into it's stride, not half bad looking graphics wise either.

Wasn't taken by the whole Star wars thing in general, is the game any good though?

Plus I figure a weekend isn't enough, given that we have a 5yr old and I have to publish several of my larger articles and reviews on this site on a Saturday and Sunday :p I'm a week day gamer lol.

Are you folks all in the eTeknix Steam group? would be fun to party up sometime and put these F2P games through their paces :)

Ah, well I'm a single player gamer on the PC most of the time, but just don't have a lot of people on my steam list, mostly on the xbox or PS3 for multi-player as me and my girlfriend prefer to play multi-player together :)

i'd say spiral knights and Tf2 are good f2p games, with spiral knights if you play casual you can avoid putting a single penny in

I've downloaded Spiral Knights ages ago, still not got around to it, been trying Need for Speed World this week too, so far so good, nothing special but it's classic NFS through and through, plenty of content on the free side too.

Good to see you like Blacklight.

The perfect world "issue" is only due to the micro-transactions that they have in their games. Previous games have seen free-2-play players seriously underdogged by people that throw money at it. Its only a small thing as to be honest I would not mind throwing a tenner at this title as I think its polished and good enough to go retail.

Liked the review anyways mate :)

Another one for you to look at if you like retro-remake kind of things is wing commander saga:
    Wing Commander Saga

Not quite as polished as some other games but..... it really is Wing Commander!!!!!!

Yeah thanks for the recommendation, it's really a superb game (BL:R) and it's hard to think it's FREE once you've played it :-D glad you liked the review too, thanks.

Will check out Wing Commander Saga next week :)

A couple that I play are World of Tanks the combat is pretty good and Star Trek Online the game universe is bloody massive and the player is not solely restricted to the episodic missions
