Which new PC game should I buy to play off-line.
Agreed. You can get the entire Elder Scrolls anthology for $30 or so. Those are great single player games, if you haven't already played them all the way through; Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim will sure keep you busy. There's the Fallout and Far Cry series. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Those all have high replay value.
Dying Light. Alien Isolation... Or Darkest Dungeon or This War Of Mine for Indie games.
Skyrim is indeed a wonderful game, often quite cheap on Steam sales with many many mods out now (some now behind a paywall, but that's a different topic)
fallout for me. either fallout 3 or vegas.
Right now it must be Assassin's Creed Rogue in my opinion
Seriously GTA V without playing the multiplayer component, that game is unbelievable =D
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin is definitely a remarkable game that everyone should play =)
is Far Cry 4 worth a try?
I definitely recommend Skyrim or any of the Elder Scrolls games, really. It depends on what genres you like, though. I also really like building houses on The Sims 3, it's very therapeutic for me lol. I've also played through the available Game of Thrones episodes from Telltale Games and they have been pretty fun so far.
DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin if you can endure the pain of a very very hard game .
Seconded Dark Souls, but you'll need a lot of patience, and probably a lot of beers.
The Witcher. Civilization 5 if you like strategy.
And... Heroes M&M 3?
Mod any Bethesda game and you'll be set.
Space Engineers, i play that game for hours straight with friends and then when they go offline i just play a single player world, I've got about 100 hours in that game now, well worth the price even in single player.
Skyrim + mods
