    Market Rules

eTeknix accept no responsibility for any deals done on this Forum.

All transactions are between the buyer and seller.

The Market is open for use by all eTeknix members.

You may sell anything that is deemed as "Legit" but remember this site/forum is dedicated to computer related items and as such should be used to sell these items primarily.

The sale of copied material (games and/or software including OEM software) is not permitted.

Any members who break any of the rules will go through the 3 tier system of -

    1. First offence will result in a 48 hour suspension.
    2. Second offence will result in a 1 week suspension.
    3. Third and final offence will result in all access to the Market being permanently removed.

Members trashing the threads of others, with no intention of buying or making a sensible offer, will have their Market access removed permanently.

If you are not buying then don't post in the thread. The seller has the right to advertise what he or she deems to be a product at a reasonable price. Even if you think you are being helpful, please keep such advice on prices to PM or e-mail.

Include the following in your advert:

    1. Title of item(s)
    2. Pictures of item(s)
    3. Price of item(s)
    4. Your location/town (If people may want to collect the item)
    5. The payment methods you accept (Bank transfer/Paypal etc...)

If you are offering multiple items or whole computers and you do not wish to split, state so in the listing. Otherwise post individual prices.

You are allowed a MAXIMUM of TWO threads in each of the MM Forums at any one time. (2 in For Sale/2 in Wanted/2 in Price checks)

Thread starters are asked to indicate when a thread is no longer required by simply going to "Forum Tools" and selecting "Close Thread".

    Do not post derisory offers.

No thread bumping. If a post is considered by the eTeknix staff to be a thread bump (including a disguised bump) then you will be placed on the 3 tier system above. YGM posts are allowed, but don’t use them as an excuse to needlessly bump threads.

A price drop post may be made after 24 hours of the original listing. You may only price drop 24 hours after a price drop, so make it count.

Do not sell items that you physically don't have or don’t own. You either have the goods for sale or not. This includes selling items for friends. Do not post For Sale threads unless you are able to immediately dispatch the goods.

NO EBAY LISTINGS – We are not ebay, if you have it on ebay, good for you, keep it there, we don't want to know about it here. You either have it for sale on here or not.

Although not a rule, it is highly recommended that you exchange non-internet contact details with the buyer/seller before sending any goods or funds. This should include a full name, postal address and a landline phone number (which should be checked). This will allow any issues with the deal to be quickly and easily resolved.

If you are unsure about anything then please ask one of the eTeknix staff via PM or e-mail.

These rules may be added to or amended at any time. Last Updated 24/06/2009.

The decision of the eTeknix staff is final and will not be open for debate.
