I started learning C++ in my own time while in high school, and since then, mostly through University, have learned Pascal, Java, and Python. I've never really gone back to the ones I had to use for Uni, but I still like using C++.

I only know web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS and a little bit of Javascript and PHP.

I do remember bits of Qbasic and Turbo Pascal back in the day though :D

Nice. I wasn't sure if it really counted as programming, so I didn't mention the web dev stuff I know.
But I also know HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and JQuery. :)

I feel ya. Though when I can, I like to have a bit of a mess around on codingame.com, where you solve puzzles with programming. I find it's a really fun way to practise programming.
They have tons of languages to pick from too.

I'm thinking about giving front end development a go, because a project i am a part of is in dire need of it but no one wants to volunteer their time and do it for free. So if i want something done i will have to do it myself. Anyone able to give me a short rundown of what front end might entail and where should i start, maybe point me to an online course? Feel free to PM me with details.

So you're going to learn html and css?

I know html, css, php, javascript, jquery (basically same shit as JS), Java, C++, C# and a bit of C and python.
I'm particulary good in C++, Javascript and Java.

If thats what is needed to fix "our" forums and website (not talking about eTeknix) then yeah, I am going to give it a go.

Most likely you'd need html, css and javascript (preferably jquery included). PHP would probably also be a necessity but not surely. Depends what you want to change. Most important would be css and Javscript in this case I guess.
I'd suggest starting with css, though, css is linked with html so you need basics there as well.

    That's pretty awesome.

I assume by "front end" you're talking about a website, where the front end is what the user interacts with, there is of course the stuff running behind the scenes too, which is known as the back end.

Depending on what you're looking to achieve with your front end, you'll be needing to know at least HTML and CSS.
CSS 3 is pretty powerful, and should cover most of the fancy things you may want to do, but if it can't then you'll also need to learn Javascript, or JQuery.

One of the best resources for all of these can be found on this site: http://www.w3schools.com/
I personally haven't been through W3's Javascript stuff, but I know that CodeAcademy has a great Javascript course.

Here's a neat example of what you can achieve with CSS 3, and a bit of JavaScript: http://codepen.io/juliangarnier/pen/idhuG

    I hope this helps. :)

W3Schools got it all, no need to look anywhere else. But google is your friend, incase you need something else or just want to look at other examples and such, just google it. You'll most liekly find examples on stack overflow and such, they're really good.
